About the Job
You will work with the processing and investigation of cases that vary in scope and complexity. This means that you will analyze and assess different types of documentation. You will request additional information via phone, email, and letters in contact with individuals and businesses. With the support of laws and regulations, you will assess the documentation and make decisions. Many cases are simple and quick, while others take more time. Your tasks mainly involve investigating the tax residency of companies and individuals.
You will receive an introduction and a supervisor who will help you plan your work. You will then independently manage your cases and collaborate with others. The work involves handling different types of cases, and you will learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and in depth. We have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.
You will belong to the Personal Taxation Department and work in Personal Taxation Unit 1, where we are 21 people. Your placement is in Östersund.
About You
To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. Good judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important in the work. In this job, you should:

You should also have:
- a current (at least 30 approved credits) or recently completed higher education of at least 180 credits in economics or law.
It is desirable if you have relevant work experience at the Swedish Tax Agency.
It is also desirable if you have relevant work experience in administrative or processing work, for example from public administration, agencies, insurance companies, or banks.
Good to Know
The employment is temporary from May 4 to August 14, 2026.
The employment is full-time. In May, there is the possibility of combining any studies with the work as a tax administrator, as leave can be granted for exams, seminars, and lectures after consultation with the responsible manager. There will be joint reviews and training sessions with mandatory attendance during April and May.
Due to the nature of the work tasks, there is no possibility to work from home in this job.

In this recruitment, we may use psychological tests.
